Roost Heating Supports Solent Mind with Mayfield Café Transformation
To mark Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, our team swapped boilers for hard hats and teamed up with CC Carpentry to transform the café at Mayfield Garden Centre for Solent Mind – raising £1,365 for materials along the way.
12-Mile Fundraising Challenge
Our intrepid team—Tareq, Christian, Chris, Max, Aidan, and Jack—embarked on a 12-mile walk from Solent Mind’s head office in Southampton to their well-being centre in Winchester. Our route took us through the heart of Hampshire, including Chandlers Ford, Otterbourne, and Compton. We beat our £500 goal and raised £1000 for Solent Mind to boost awareness of the charity’s vital work during Mental Health Awareness Week (May 13th-19th).
Raising Money For Solent Mind’s Mayfield Nurseries Heating System
Each year we do some fundraising for Solent Mind so this year we decided that the whole team would spend the day at the nursery, getting the system back up and working with free labour.
Walk For Mind
On Friday, May 20th, we walked a 15-mile route around Winchester in aid of our very worthy team charity, Solent Mind, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. We transported our tool kit on our trusty cart, servicing a good few boilers along the way too.
The Roost Heating ‘Row for Mind’
The 13th-19th May 2019 was Mental Health Awareness Week and to support it, we took a day away from our wrenches to embark on a Kayak marathon in aid of our favourite charity, Solent Mind. We paddled 26 miles in our trusty Kayaks* all around the Basingstoke Canal.
Ride for Mind
Back in May 2018, the Roost Heating team cycled a whopping 50 miles around the Roost region in aid of Solent Mind. We were over-the-moon to raise £1,647 with the help and support of our brilliant friends and customers.
